Highlights from the first day

It’s been a hectic but rewarding day here at TasteFair. There’s been loads going on and still more to come but I thought I’d give you a taster (cough) of the first day!

Over lunch Simone our Italian barrista gave his first masterclass. We got to learn what a great cappucino should really look (and taste) like.

We also had the first our ‘Seed to cup’ sessions with Amen (and Alex) talking through the process of where our coffee comes from and the processes that deliver it to us.

Amen

Our session with Tim Maddam’s from the River Cottage was also great. We sampled some great tasting food including cheese from Devon, delicious bread from Lyme Regis in Dorset, and a selection of cured meat from the River Cottage. He also brought in some special TasteFair treats , that he created especially for the occassion. They were delicious chocolate and coffee truffles made using our very own coffee beans. We’ll wack up the recipe when we get a spare minute.

I’m dashing back now to see Vashti and Hadar peform. Do drop in and see us soon!
